lolita and conventions.

as in october i attended my first con as a lolita (i was aso cosplaying) i desided to put this post up.

what you will need:

a water bottle. metal ones keep their cool but the condensation will make bags wet, so wrap it in a plastic bag or something waterproof.

a small sewing kit. safty pins, and neadles threaded with black, white and the main colour of your outfit, some small sizzors

a fold-up umbrella. if the sun is pouring down on you, you will need a parasol and if it suddenly rains you don't want to get soaked and have to change huredly.

makeup. whatever you wear normaly + some extra consealer and deoderant.

a brush, comb and hair pinns. hair emergancys are better avoided. luckly i could borrow a (nice and clean) brush of someone i met their but i don't advise it.

snacks. packets of chips and crackers as well as meusli bars are perfect. DO NOT BUY CONVENTION FOOD. its way overpriced, and not worth buying.

at least one large bag for merch. one your can fold up would be perfect.

so this has been what you desperatly need to put in your handbag for con.
love,
Lizzy~

How to add otaku style to your lolita

sick of hiding you otaku self while wearing your frills? sick of not being able to show your otaku nature?well, its big sis lizzy here to help you
one: add pins, big buttons and things of your fave characters. i wear my pikachu pin with anything.
two: add a big satchel or back-pack.sometimes, a sweet little angelic pretty bag just doesn't hold enough to be useful. otaku-loli is all about being functional as well as kawaii. its also useful to hold a drink bottle, remember girls, a hydrated loli is a happy loli.
three: if you want the extra comfort, swap the blouse for a T-shirt. over a full skirt this looks very cute
four:  why not swap uncomfortable shoes for a pair of converse? (by converse i mean canvas shoes)
this is all we have time for~
untill next time, loves and kittens!

I love this look. the simple colours, the addition of boy-style, (which i have always loved the same way i love gothic lolita) and how much it looks like the costume art of kuroshitsuji, which i love. this picture made me think, i love this look, how can i include this to my outfits? so i wrote a little list of things i want to do to add this stunning street-style  to my own clothes, without the alice and the pirates (whom these wonderful clothes are being sold by) price-tag. (which, as it is cosplay season, i can not afford)
1: mary janes with all the clothes!
2: strippy socks or stocking, but only in black and white.
3: bows in strippy ribbon
4: a little of the overdone. bows and pearls.
5: simple curls and delicate style.
well, its late and i am tired and have a busy day.
